Curiosity Gym runs makerspaces called Innovation Hubs in colleges.
The Center manager needs to have previous experience of running a high tech lab/ makerspace /prototyping shop – mandatory, with excellent communication skills, to cater to English speaking and foreign visitors, Students and Faculty as well.
Innovation Hub Administration and reporting to Curiosity Gym
Accounting and Inventory of all Assets and Consumables.
Creates and monitors college schedules, and allocates all Innovation Hub personnel for each session.
Ensure Curiosity Gym staff attendance and backup for absenteeism is managed.
To ensure participant attendance reporting for each session.
Responsible for ordering and re-order levels of consumables of existing/new courses.
Handles all AMC contracts of all equipment within the Innovation Hub
Interfaces with all Equipment Manufactures for Innovation Hub training needs, of all Innovation Hub personnel.
Conducts training and Orientation Sessions for Students for all equipment in the Innovation Hub
Ensures Recruitment and Continued Training of operators, interfaces with college authorities, all Curiosity Gym staff in Innovation Hub will report into him/her.
Needs to have experience on for all machinery and equipment in the Innovation Hub.
Should be able to translate designs from all input of Sketch, 2D drawings, 3D renders, and all industry standard files/formats.
Ability to generate designs and realise them in multiple materials on 3d printers, Laser Cutters, and other methods of prototyping.
Able to instruct and advise operators to ensure completion of all student requests in a timely manner.
To set out a system of tracking and delivering complete jobs to students/faculty
Able to interact with faculty and senior mentors to co-create, experiences, within and outside of curriculum
Can take sessions on advanced prototyping topics for students.
Can mentor student projects.
Maintains a store for issues and returns for each Project/ Student group
For Jobs that need outsourced equipment:
Experience working in shop floors, talking to other vendors/ operators, getting job work done from them.
Familiarity with the Design Thinking paradigm and cycle
CAD 2D/3D using any 2 industry standard softwares
Basic Electronics, and Coding for Arduino/ESP platforms.
I/F sensors and actuators.
To be trained in IoT basics, and creating basic prototypes.
Wood- working/ Jigs/fixtures from various materials.
